Design a unique XKR of your own
In 2006 DesignXKR where appointed as the sole Partner for Arden in the UK
DesignXKR was started in November 2005. As a Jaguar XKR owner myself I am passionate about the
marque and was disappointed to find a lack of options for upgrading and improving this fantastic car.
Having spent many years in the automotive and electronics industry I decided to found a company
that would bring together the very best upgrades and accessories available for the XK8 and XKR as well
as producing innovative new designs. I am currently working with a number of companies on projects
to produce some exciting new ideas for the car.
The company aims to provide a full range of products and services for your XK including interior
upgrades or refurbishment, a wide range of after market accessories and body kits
The company has recently moved into larger modern premises giving us more space and better
facilities. We use up to date diagnostic equipment to allow us to provide the best service.
Current and recently completed projects include:
Producing a road going limited slip diff, LSD... As very few owners race their cars, unlike our
competitors, all our company upgrades are for road use. Our products fit both the XK8/R 4.0/4.2
With our LSD we can also offer a full range of ratios, from the standard 3.07:1 plus 3.27:1
3.58:1 and finally for those that want pure acceleration 4.00:1
Interiors... bespoke to clients needs with help from our design team where needed, replacing the
tired interior for full leather... including a full dash re-trim
The installation of a 4.2litre engine and 6speed gearbox into a 1999 vehicle
requiring a
complete wiring upgrade.
Upgrading a customers 2000MY XKR Convertible to 2005 spec including a complete
repaint
changing the colour from blue to black. Installing a colour matched dashboard and door cards.
Upgrading the interior to provide electronic steering column. Installation of a new convertible
roof and installation of 2005 style drivers and passenger seats along with upgrading exterior
body parts.
